How Solvemis works

Free calculators with no sign-up, to save you time: you enter your data and the result appears straight away, with nothing in the way.

Where the numbers come from

Each tool calculates with formulas from standards, official bodies or well-established sources, and cites them with their sources. Every calculation has automated tests, and anything that changes over time (brackets, rates, limits) is reviewed every year. Even so, results are estimates, as each one says underneath.

Why it loads fast

Pages are light: they only download the calculator and what it needs to show. Nothing stands between you and the result.

What happens to your data

The calculations run on your device: what you type doesn’t leave your browser. Worth knowing:

  • The IP tool and the speed test talk to Cloudflare, because that is exactly what they measure.
  • The leaked-password check sends Have I Been Pwned only 5 characters of your password’s fingerprint, and only when you press “Send”.
  • What you type in the search box is sent so we know which tools are missing. Your IP isn’t used: only the words, the language, the country and the day.
  • If you tick the box to remember your data (in the yearly bills and 50/30/20 calculators), it is saved in your own browser.
  • The data in a shared link goes after the “#” and never reaches any server.

We don’t use our own cookies; Cloudflare, which serves the site, may store a technical security cookie. All the details are in the privacy policy.

Advertising

There are no ads today. When there are, they will only go in fixed spaces, always marked as advertising and never between your data and the result: no pop-ups, no videos with sound and no ads covering the content. Affiliate links, if any, will be separate and marked.

Who makes it

Solvemis is made and maintained by one person, with the help of artificial intelligence tools for coding and translation. It is supported by voluntary contributions and, later on, by advertising.
